A bluetooth cell phone is a phone that has the bluetooth technology already a part of the device. The term bluetooth refers to a device that is wireless, where two devices talk to one another. Bluetooth technology works off of radio waves that are sent back and forth between the two devices, enabling for a wireless connection. For example, a bluetooth headset enables the user to wear the headset and use the phone hand free. There are no cords or clips that are attached to the person or the cell phone.

Depending on the brand of phone, bluetooth can be used to connect to computers, cellular phones to another cellular phone, music players, headsets or anything else that has bluetooth technology. For instance, a bluetooth cell phone can connect to a computer when a bluetooth adapter is plugged into the computer. The computer and the cell phone can now exchange information, such as phone numbers, calendar dates or pictures.

Bluetooth technology removes the need for data cables, wired earpieces and other corded technology. Instead all information is exchanged through wireless form and has a greater range of distance as well. It is also smaller and much more portable, then the traditional wired devices.
